Renton

What's already happening: The City of Renton Surface Water Utility manages the quantity and quality of surface water runoff in the city. The aims of the utility are to reduce flood hazards, protect public safety and prevent property damages, maintain water quality, and protect and restore fish and wildlife habitat. To accomplish these objectives, the utility has instituted programs to protect its streams, lakes, rivers and wetland, realizing that these bodies of water contribute to making Renton an attractive place to live and work in the region.
