Maple Valley

What's already happening: The City of Maple Valley Stormwater Utility is responsible for managing, maintaining and improving the drainage systems within the City of Maple Valley. The city's goals are to improve the quality of stormwater runoff that enters Lake Lucerne, Lake Wilderness, Jenkins Creek, Cranmar Creek and the Cedar River as well as into groundwater through infiltration. The city is also working to reduce erosion and flooding problems. These steps will be accomplished by improving citizens' and businesses' understanding of the importance of protecting stormwater quality through helping them prevent spills and illegal dumping, and by helping them improve residential, commercial, and landscaping practices.
